Tina Fey started a firestorm on Twitter, all in support of Save Upper Darby Arts. Click on the hyperlink, watch the video, sign the petition, tell us your story, and spread the word.
This is about doing right by our kids in the United States of America. Do not be complacent. The busiest of celebrities aren’t. so we have no excuse.
Oh, and reblog please.
This is a really important matter so please, people, sign the petition, forward it to everyone you know, reblog it, and so on. Arts are SO important for kids and just think about it that way, the people that make all of your favorite movies, shows, songs, plays, they’ve all been inspired and they’ve all been able to express their talent because of those classes. Those classes bring so much to young people. It’s a community thing that kids look forward to, a place to enjoy themselves, to learn and be creative, to share and receive. And cutting those performing arts programs is just like taking a part of those kids’ world away. It brings kids the confidence they need to carry on with their lives and face that big world they are being confronted with. Just, look at Glee! I don’t watch it but they have millions of fans and it’s not only because of the amazing voices and dancers they got, it’s also because it shows a place where kids can be themselves, where they make real friends, they learn to care about each other, they enjoy themselves. And what is more important than that? I might be getting a little bit emotional here, but I think it’s justified. Maths, History, Languages, all that is important. But Arts are, just as much. So If you care about the matter, if you’ve enjoyed yourself attending those programs, or if you’re still enjoying the benefit of those classes, sign the petition. It only takes a few seconds to do something that matters a lot.
Thanks for the attention!

“For me, a sense of humor is the easiest way to assess someone’s intelligence. There are no superdumb people who are funny on purpose. There are superdumb people who are funny and don’t realize it. But if someone is funny, they have some kind of intelligence.”
The Beauty of the photobomb, Tina Fey & Alec Baldwin

“I’ve always had a pretty good sense of humor. I try to find a way to laugh to get through some of the things we go through in life. But ever since I’ve been on 30 Rock, I’ve learned so much about what it takes to be funny. That kind of funny is like a multiple warhead. The joke keeps detonating.”
